Stephanie’s stories are soul stories from a collective well; story-lines to stand in, ponder on, and journey through. Ethereal tales, dream-hinged and heart-slanted. So let yourself drift along with Stephanie’s love of beautiful words, unusual phrasing, complex imagery, and emotive expression, as she reads a tale drawn from her life experiences, dreams, and own personal development, alongside her work as a poet, story writer, creative counsellor and personal development facilitator.
Afterwards, you are invited to share your reflections on what may have come up for you as you journeyed with the story’s themes, archetypes, atmosphere and other contents.

A bit about Stephanie:
Having written poetry for over forty years, Stephanie has also been experimenting with different forms of flash fiction and short stories for the last six years, and is currently enjoying reading these stories out at Barnaby’s Lounge on the last Thursday of every month, from 11am-12:30. The gently facilitated audience discussions, which are invited following each story, have unexpectedly extended into some attendees responding to the stories with their unique artwork, with a view to Susie Warren – Barnaby’s Lounge arts curator – putting on a collaborative exhibition for the next new year.
Stephanie has also been invited to do readings of her stories and poems at different local community events, such as the Hastings Garden Festival, Church-in-the-Wood Orchard, and private celebrations.
Over the years, Stephanie has had many of her poems published in regular pamphlets and creative writing websites, and in some ‘Survivors’ magazines, and a few in a series of broader poetry competition anthologies; and is in the process of exploring publishing her collections of both poetry and stories.
Stephanie lives in the Hastings & St. Leonards area, enjoying being nourished by the vast array of diversity here, in terms of the wonderful multi-cultured community, gorgeous natural environments, extraordinary amount of creativity, and the various and exciting activities and events, and more!
Please note that booking is required. This event will take place in the upstairs area at Barnaby’s Lounge and space is limited.
Please email Stephanie at: phoenixcollectives@gmail.com to book a seat.
